This bowl was hand turned from a cherry tree that grew at the corner of Sachem and Prospect, across the street from the Yale Hockey Rink and at the site of the new college construction. The tree grew immediately adjacent to Mudd Hall. The tree was removed in 2011 in preparation of the site for its new purpose. This bowl measures 11" in diameter and 4" in height. It is #5 of the 14 bowls that will be turned from the wood of this cherry, one for each of the colleges.
