This bowl was handcrafted from a giant black oak tree that grew in Berkeley College courtyard and whose branches extended over Cross Campus. A large branch fell from this tree during the 2025 Opening Assembly of the new first year class as the academic procession exited Cross Campus. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but this iconic tree had to be removed from campus due to loss of structural integrity. This bowl measures 6.75” by 4” tall. This is bowl #3 of the estimated 100 to be turned from this tree.
