Horchow Beech #20

$279.00

This bowl was hand-crafted from the massive beech tree that grew next to Horchow Hall on Hillhouse Avenue. The house was built in 1860. This tree, which was at least 170 years old, was part of the original landscaping. Horchow Hall was home to the Yale School of Management until 2013 when the school moved into its new home in Evans Hall. The tree was removed in 2018 because it was dropping branches due to disease. This bowl is 6 1/2” in diameter and 3 1/4” high. This is bowl #20 of the 76 bowls to be made from this tree.

• Also includes a card describing the history of the tree’s location on campus.
