This bowl was handcrafted from a Norway Maple that grew next to the President’s House at 43 Hillhouse Avenue. The huge tree was removed on July 1, 2013 as part of the renovation to the building. It was the same day that Peter Salovey became the 23rd President of Yale University. This is the 24th bowl turned from this tree. It measures 6” in diameter and 3” inches high.
