West Campus Red Oak #1
The bowl was hand-turned from a black cherry tree that grew in the West campus forest near the School of Nursing. The tree, which was largely pulled down by hanging vines, was removed in the summer of 2014 to clear a walking path through the woods that connects the West Campus garden with the rest of campus. This bowl is 6” in diameter and 2.5” high. This is bowl #1 of the 5 bowls to be crafted from this tree.
• Also includes a card describing the history of the tree’s location on campus.
