Cross Campus Elm #76

Cross Campus Elm #76

$389.00

This bowl was handcrafted from a 35 year old Elm (Ulmus rubra) that grew on Cross Campus. The tree was one of eight trees on the quad, only three of which were Elms. It grew in front of the entrance to Harkness Hall, across the quad from Hopper College and within site of the Sterling Memorial Library. This Elm tree, which is the namesake of Elm City, died in the spring and was removed in July 2014. This bowl is 8 1/4” in diameter and 5” high. This is bowl #76 of the bowls crafted from this tree.

• Also includes a card describing the history of the tree’s location on campus.
